Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.–Rachel Zoe
My quest to find the perfect gear included finding the best men’s travel clothing. An analytical traveler balances form and function. As a business traveler, besides dressing sharp, you need to be wrinkle free to look your best. I used to go to great lengths to preserve my jacket or stay up after a long day to iron my clothes for my morning meetings. On personal trips, I used to feel a bit out of place wearing hiking clothes out to dinner. Then I discovered Bluffworks clothing, and found it possible to have the best of both worlds.
Bluffworks provides the functionality of hiking clothes in the guise of fashionable clothing fit for rooftop bars, Paris cafes, and Michelin restaurants. Read on to find out why Bluffworks is the best men’s travel clothing for both work and pleasure, at least for those who don’t want to look like vagabond backpackers (which I still do on occasion)!
The clothes look great, they don’t wrinkle, they’re machine washable…but let’s face it….it’s all about the secret pockets! I keep emergency bribe cash stashed in one secret pocket and my passport in another. For my Cuba trip (cash-only country), I spread my cash between secret pockets in a few articles of clothing…the whole eggs in one basket thing. Just don’t forget where you hid it! Another bonus, secret pockets are much better than wearing a sweaty money belt.
I received the Gramercy Blazer last Christmas and now barely wear my other jackets. It looks and feels like wool, but it doesn’t wrinkle, and it’s even machine washable (seriously, I’ve done it). It’s perfect for going straight from the plane to a meeting, or even wearing right out of the bottom of your bag. You can go formal and pair it with the Gramercy pants or business casual with the Chino pants or more casual with a pair of BW jeans. I only bring one jacket when I travel, so love the versality and not worrying about it getting dirty or wrinkled. I never considered bringing a jacket on a non-business trip, until I found one that I can roll up or put in a packing cube.

All of the Bluffworks pants are wrinkle-free, quick-drying, breathable, and have secret pockets. The Gramercy pants are more formal, but also the most comfortable, and really soft. The Chinos are my go-to pants for non-business travel. They are more casual and have some stretch. The Originals are my everyday work pants, lightweight yet durable, and at the best price point. BW now has travel jeans that look like regular jeans but are quick-drying and have secret pockets! I wear these all the time.
The Meridian performance dress shirt is great for business and pleasure, with classic patterns in a fabric that feels natural but has technical performance. It’s anti-microbial, and Bluffworks says you can wear it 5 days in a row without washing…or being stinky. Have yet to test this! Integrate into your daily wardrobe and save on dry-cleaning as well.
The New Stuff
Bluffworks is always working on something new. There are a few new items that I am really excited about. My only complaint about Bluffworks has been their lack of casual clothes. Now they have a quilted lightweight travel vest, jeans, and even a ball cap! I recently got the jeans and olive green vest pictured above and wear them all the time! They are perfect for daily wear, walking a new city or for wearing on the plane. BW has a quick-dry, anti-oder, t-shirt shipping at the end of March. My plan is to get a couple of the white ones and use interchangeably on trips as undershirts and t-shirts and a black one to wear under a jacket.
I love the balance of form and function that Bluffworks provides. I like to be comfortable and still look nice in my travel and everyday clothes. I’m a carry-on guy so minimize how much I bring, particularly as I often combine business and personal trips. Give Bluffworks a try and see if you agree that Bluffworks is the best travel and work clothing for men.
